Our main seamstress, Farida*, is a refugee from Afghanistan. She, along with her husband and their four daughters, fled their home country several years ago due to unrest and violence in the nation. Since arriving in New Delhi, India, she and her husband have worked hard to provide for their family. They've learned the local language and taken odd jobs over the years in order to make ends meet, yet they still live in great poverty.
Every purchase that you make will help bring them greater financially stability and security. And each purchase you make will bring us closer to our goal of supporting more refugees like Farida in the future.
